Terms of Service

Last updated: 22 October 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By subscribing to Kvanta, creating an account or using Kvanta Prep, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't subscribe or use the service.

2. Description of Service

Kvanta provides:

  • Free Newsletter: Daily UK finance news in plain English
  • Premium Subscription (£0.99/month or £9.99/year): Additional deep-dive reports and full archive access
  • Kvanta Prep (free): practice for assessments used in graduate and internship applications, including reasoning tests, situational judgement tests, games, video interview practice and assessment centre exercises

2A. Kvanta Prep

Kvanta Prep is a free practice service. By using it you agree to the following, in addition to the rest of these terms.

  • Practice only. Kvanta Prep helps you become familiar with assessment formats. It does not predict, estimate or guarantee any result in a real assessment, interview or application. Scores and bands are shown against other Kvanta users only and are not official. Those comparisons can change as more people take a practice. We do not claim that any practice matches a real test.
  • Independent. Kvanta is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any test publisher, assessment provider or employer. Names of publishers and employers are used only to describe formats and processes. Questions, tasks and marking guides are our own. Case studies, in-tray exercises and group exercises use fictional firms. Firm interview packs follow the competencies a firm publishes, but the questions and the marking guide are ours and are not the firm's. The daily question is built from a real news story, which we link to.
  • Automated feedback can be wrong. Written feedback on spoken or typed answers is produced by software, including an AI service run by a third-party provider, as described in our Privacy Policy. It can misjudge or miss things, and the transcript can contain errors. Treat it as one prompt for your own practice, not a verdict. It is not shared with any employer.
  • Your answers. Only submit audio of your own voice and text you have the right to share. Do not include other people's personal details, and do not include sensitive details about yourself such as health information. When you press "Get feedback" you give us permission to process what you submit, and to pass the text of it to our AI provider, only to give you that feedback, as the Privacy Policy describes. You keep ownership of your answers.
  • Feedback limits and availability. Written feedback is currently limited to 10 requests per account per day and two in progress at a time. A request that fails on our side is not counted. We may change the limits, switch feedback off, or make it unavailable at any time. It depends on providers outside our control, which can be unavailable.
  • Pitch and presentation feedback covers structure, not merit. We do not assess whether an investment idea, recommendation or view is good, and nothing in Kvanta Prep is financial advice.
  • Not financial advice. Kvanta is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Nothing in Kvanta Prep is a personal recommendation, financial advice, or an invitation or inducement to engage in investment activity.
  • Firm and process information. Pages describing how firms recruit show where each fact comes from and when we last checked it. Processes change, and your invitation and the employer's own pages always take priority. We do not publish application dates.
  • Integrity. Use Kvanta Prep to practise. Do not use AI tools, notes or other people in a live assessment unless the employer allows it, and follow the rules the employer gives you.
  • Reasonable adjustments. We cannot grant adjustments to employer assessments. Only the employer can. Our adjustments page is general information and not legal advice.
  • Accounts. A free Kvanta Prep account is for people aged 18 or over, and one account per person. You sign in with a code or link emailed to you, so keep your email account secure. A Prep account does not subscribe you to the newsletter unless you choose to. You can practise without an account, but written feedback needs one.
  • Changes. We may add, change or remove practices, and results shown against other users may change as more people take a practice.

3. Free vs. Premium

Free: You'll receive 3-5 stories every weekday morning. Free forever, no payment required.

Premium: Billed monthly or annually via Stripe. Includes everything in Free plus weekly reports and archive access. Cancel anytime.

4. Account Responsibilities

  • You must be 18 or over to use Kvanta
  • You must provide a valid email address
  • You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure
  • One account per person
  • Don't share premium content publicly

5. Payment Terms (Premium Only)

  • Billing: Monthly (£0.99) or Annual (£9.99)
  • Auto-Renewal: Your subscription renews automatically unless cancelled
  • Cancellation: Cancel anytime via your account dashboard or Stripe customer portal
  • Price Changes: We'll notify you 30 days before any price increases. If you do not wish to continue at the new price, you may cancel before the renewal date at no charge and the existing price will apply until the end of your current billing period.

5.1 Statutory right to cancel (14-day cooling-off period)

Consumers in the UK have a 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, starting the day after your subscription begins. To cancel, email support@kvanta.app or use the model cancellation form available on request. Where you have accessed premium content during the cancellation period, you acknowledge under reg. 36 that you have expressly consented to the service beginning and that you lose the right to cancel once the service is fully performed; we may deduct a proportionate amount for content already accessed. After the 14-day period, you may cancel at any time via the Stripe customer portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period (no pro-rata refund) unless we agree otherwise.

5.2 At a glance

£0.99 will be charged every month (or £9.99 every year) on the anniversary of your first payment, using the card on file, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time via the Stripe customer portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

6. Content Disclaimer and Financial Promotions

Kvanta is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). Nothing in this newsletter is intended to be, or should be read as, an invitation or inducement to engage in investment activity within the meaning of section 21 of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000. All content is journalistic commentary on publicly reported information.

Nothing in the newsletter constitutes a personal recommendation, financial advice, or an invitation to engage in investment activity. Any views expressed are the author's editorial opinion. You should take independent professional advice before making any financial or investment decision. Past performance is not a guide to future performance. The value of investments can fall as well as rise and you may get back less than you invest.

We strive for factual accuracy but cannot guarantee the completeness or timeliness of information we summarise from third-party sources.

7. Intellectual Property

All newsletter content, design, and branding belong to Kvanta. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and read the newsletter and website for your own personal, non-commercial use. This licence does not transfer any ownership rights to you.

  • Republish our content without permission
  • Scrape or copy our newsletters

8. Unsubscribing

You can unsubscribe at any time by:

  • Clicking the "Unsubscribe" link in any email

9. Service Availability

We aim for 99%+ uptime but don't guarantee uninterrupted service. We may:

  • Perform maintenance (we'll try to notify you)
  • Experience technical issues
  • Modify or discontinue features
  • Rely on providers outside our control (for example for AI feedback in Kvanta Prep), which can be unavailable

10. Prohibited Activities

  • Abuse our service (spam, harassment, illegal activity)
  • Attempt to hack or disrupt our systems
  • Use bots or automation to abuse our service
  • Resell or redistribute our content

  • Reverse engineer the question generators or scoring, or submit automated or fabricated attempts to affect scores or statistics
  • Upload audio of anyone other than yourself, or content that you do not have the right to share
  • Use Kvanta Prep, or anything derived from it, to cheat in a live assessment or interview

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

  • Violate these terms
  • Engage in fraudulent activity
  • Abuse our service

If we terminate your premium subscription for breach, we will refund a pro-rata amount for the unused portion of your current billing period, unless the breach involves fraud or other unlawful activity.

12. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for:

  • death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
  • fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
  • any breach of the terms implied by the Consumer Rights Act 2015 that cannot lawfully be excluded; or
  • your right to compensation for damage caused by a personal data breach under Article 82 of the UK GDPR, this statutory right cannot be excluded or restricted by contract.

Subject to those non-excludable liabilities, our total liability to you arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the service is limited to the amounts you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable to you for any indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss of data. We are not liable for investment or financial decisions you make in reliance on our editorial content.

The service is provided "as is". We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You and we agree that the courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms, except that nothing in this clause deprives you as a consumer of the protection of the mandatory rules of the law of your country of habitual residence, or of your right to bring proceedings in the courts of that country.

14. Complaints and Alternative Dispute Resolution

If you have a complaint about the service, please email us at support@kvanta.app. We aim to acknowledge your complaint within 2 working days and resolve it within 14 working days.

We are not currently a member of an approved alternative dispute resolution (ADR) scheme under the Alternative Dispute Resolution for Consumer Disputes (Competent Authorities and Information) Regulations 2015. If we cannot resolve your complaint, you may bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales or, if your claim qualifies, use the small claims track (Money Claim Online at gov.uk/make-court-claim-for-money).

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms. We'll notify subscribers of significant changes via email. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.
