Your video is recorded and kept on your own device. Kvanta never receives it. If you ask for written feedback, only the audio is uploaded to our server. It waits in the server's memory for its turn, which is usually a few minutes, and is deleted as soon as it has been turned into text. The text of your answer is then scored by Cloudflare, a provider headquartered in the US that may process it outside the UK, and you are asked to agree before your first review. The transcript and feedback are deleted from our server 30 days after you ask, or sooner if you delete them, but we cannot delete a copy held by Cloudflare. Our database backups can hold a copy for up to 31 days more. Eye and head tracking runs on your device, and its results stay on your device.

About this test

On-demand video interviews on this platform let employers set the preparation time, the answer length and whether you can retry. Our default preset is 30 seconds of preparation and a two-minute answer with no re-record, and every setting is adjustable so you can rehearse the exact limits in your own invitation.

The publisher's 2025 explainability statement says its AI scores the transcript only, against a five-level behaviourally anchored scale. We copy that method for structure feedback. We do not copy any scoring of face, body or tone, because it says it does not use them. Goldman Sachs names this publisher for its first-round video interview, but the exact settings are only candidate-reported.

What we know about this format

Each point carries a badge showing where it comes from. Where only candidates have reported something, the badge says so.

12 sourced points: 10 vendor-published, 1 official employer, 1 third-party.

What do the confidence badges mean?
  • Vendor-published Stated in the test publisher's own document or practice site.
  • Academic From peer-reviewed research.
  • Official employer Stated on the employer's own page.
  • Near-official Near-official: an employer-run practice portal, or a vendor or employer-quoted press release naming the employer.
  • Candidate-reported Reported by candidates. Treat as likely but unconfirmed.
  • Third-party From prep sites, press or forums. Not confirmed by the employer or publisher.
  • Vendor-published

Employers set prep time from 0 to 5 minutes or unlimited, retries on or off, and a rating guide on a five-level scale. The publisher recommends no prep restriction, with a minimum of one minute.

Questions people ask

What can the employer change?

Prep time, answer length, whether you can retry and how recruiters see results. Our practice lets you change prep time, answer length and retries to match your invitation.

Does the AI judge my face or voice tone?

The publisher's 2025 statement says it scores the transcript only, and facial analysis was removed from new assessments. We do not score face or tone either.

What is a behaviourally anchored scale?

Each competency has five written level descriptions from novice to expert, so a rating points to specific behaviours. We use the same idea with our own descriptors, drawn from firms' published frameworks.

How do I structure an answer?

STAR (Situation, Task, Action, Result) is common, and the Bank of England asks for STARR with a reflection. Aim to spend most of the answer on what you did. The feedback shows your share of time on each part.

Can I re-record?

Only if the employer allows it. The Bank of England says no re-records. Our default preset has no re-records and you can switch it on to practise.

What happens to my recording?

Your video stays on your device and Kvanta never receives it. Audio is only uploaded if you ask for written feedback: see the privacy note on this page for what happens to it.

Is this the real thing?

No. It is independent practice that follows the publisher's public statement. Our feedback does not predict any employer's rating.

Practice builds familiarity. Better structure and clearer delivery come with practice, but no employer shares its scoring, and our feedback is not a prediction of one.
