Cappfinity-style assessment practice
Count-up clocks, mixed item types and strengths-based questions.
Sample question: Cappfinity-style evaluating evidence
Information
In a survey of 200 Pembrook Bank customers, 150 said they would recommend the bank to a friend.
Conclusion
Most of Pembrook Bank's customers would recommend it to a friend.
Take the information as true. Does the conclusion follow beyond reasonable doubt?
Why: The survey covers 200 customers and the information does not show that they represent all customers, so the result cannot be taken beyond reasonable doubt to apply to everyone.
A common slip is to take 150 out of 200 (75 per cent) as true of every customer.
About a dozen questions with no time limit, but the clock counts up and your speed is recorded. Multiple choice, ranking and typed answers.

- Cappfinity-style short video tasksShort strengths-style questions answered on video. Feedback rates what you say, not how energetic you sound.
- Day in the lifeA day at a fictional firm: situations to rank (some come back reworded), number and word questions with data in tabs, a written reply and a short video answer.

About this test
This publisher's practice demo shows a distinctive format: a count-up 'Time Taken' clock rather than a countdown, Previous and Next navigation, and mixed item types including multiple choice, drag-to-rank and typed answers. Deloitte, HSBC and Lloyds all run employer practice portals marked as powered by it, which makes this the best-evidenced pairing in UK finance.
Verbal and critical reasoning use five modules each. The publisher also runs strengths-based and immersive 'day in the life' assessments. We practise the cognitive formats here, and the video and strengths questions on the video pages. How speed is weighted in the scoring is not public, so our report shows accuracy and pace and makes no claim about weighting.

Questions people ask
Why does the clock count up?
In the publisher's public demo the clock shows time taken rather than time remaining. The publisher also describes some tests as time-limited, so check your invitation. Our Untimed but speed-scored mode copies the count-up style.
How is speed scored?
How response time is weighted is not public. We show your accuracy and pace and make no claim about the weighting.
What are the verbal modules?
Adaptability, Comprehension, Dexterity, Interpretation and Reasoning, per the public demo.
What are the critical modules?
Deducing conclusions, evaluating evidence, judging arguments, drawing inferences and identifying assumptions, each answered by dropdowns.
Which firms use this publisher?
Deloitte, HSBC and Lloyds run practice portals on it. EY is reported from a 2012 trade article only. See the firm pages for exact wording and sources.
What about the strengths questions?
Strengths-based interviews ask what you enjoy and do well. We practise them on the video interview page. We do not score energy or enthusiasm because there is no public evidence that is scored.
Is this the real assessment?
No. It is independent practice built from the public demo and published descriptions, with original questions.

Practice builds familiarity. Reasoning scores improve with practice, though the gains level off after a few sittings, and nothing here predicts a real score. Our results are shown against Kvanta users only, never as an official score.
