Jefferies: application stages, tests and practice
Jefferies' London vacancy pages say you make one application per recruiting cycle and that applications are screened on a rolling basis. Two pages mention online testing as part of screening, and the Spring Week page says the tests are not launched automatically when you submit. Jefferies does not describe the tests, any video stage or the final round on the pages read.
Stages in order
What do the confidence badges mean?
- Vendor-published Stated in the test publisher's own document or practice site.
- Academic From peer-reviewed research.
- Official employer Stated on the employer's own page.
- Near-official Near-official: an employer-run practice portal, or a vendor or employer-quoted press release naming the employer.
- Candidate-reported Reported by candidates. Treat as likely but unconfirmed.
- Third-party From prep sites, press or forums. Not confirmed by the employer or publisher.
Online application
Official employerApply through Jefferies' campus portal. You can make one application per recruiting cycle, applications cannot be moved to another opportunity once submitted, and withdrawing does not let you apply for another role in the same cycle. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. For the 2027 Spring Week, Jefferies says recruitment starts in the new year, gives indicative recruiting timelines of December to February 2027, and says the applicant portal is the main source of status updates.
Online tests
Official employerThe Spring Week page says online tests are not launched automatically when you submit an application. The Equity Research Analyst page says there may be a delay in screening and online testing because recruitment is rolling. Jefferies does not name the tests, a vendor, their length or what they cover on the pages read.
Interview
Official employerThe London off-cycle internship page says that if you are selected for interview, Jefferies will contact you about next steps. The number, length and format of interviews are not published on the pages read.

Final stage line-up
Not published. The Jefferies pages read do not describe a final round, Superday or assessment centre.
Retakes and validity
One application per recruiting cycle. Withdrawing an application does not let you apply for another role in the same cycle. No test retake or result validity rule is stated.
What we could not verify
- What the online tests contain, how long they are and who provides them. Prep sites say SHL, but no Jefferies or SHL page read confirms this.
- Whether there is a recorded video interview. Prep sites say HireVue, but no Jefferies page read mentions a video stage.
- The number, length and format of interviews, and whether there is a Superday or assessment centre with a group exercise or case study.
- Whether the same stages apply to every London programme. Jefferies publishes no single process page for EMEA.
- Any test retake or result validity rule.
